Our Story

After Gerry’s unexpected death, it only felt right to honor his life on the golf course, especially at Fauquier Springs Country Club where so many good moments were had.

Gerry used golf as his getaway from all the challenges in life. A way to avoid the stress of a day to day life, nothing mattered on the course. After a chunk off the tee, and a subsequent scramble for par, all was right in the world for Gerry.

Our annual golf tournament helps raise funds for two local scholarships at Fauquier High School, for students attending either Virginia Tech or Bridgewater College. We have also contributed funds to other local charities which hold a special place in our family’s heart such as The IIIB’s Foundation and the Healing Hearts Respite Foundation.

Giving back to the local community in memory of Gerry has always been our foundation’s main goal. Almost equally important, is stepping back and enjoying a day once a year, on a golf course Gerry loved, in remembrance of him. This allows us all to enjoy the great memories with had with a man who truly touched so many lives.
